Our cabinets heading to French Guiana!

FOLAN supplies Siemens Energy with cabinets for an innovative energy project in French Guiana

FOLAN recently supplied cabinets (42U and 27U) equipped with pivoting patchpanels to Siemens Energy, a world leader in the manufacture of power, thermal and renewable energy plants. This state-of-the-art equipment is destined for a unique solar power plant in French Guiana.

A project like no other

This photovoltaic power plant, with a capacity of 55 MWp, stands out for its hydrogen-based energy storage system, a world first. This innovative device guarantees a continuous, reliable power supply, capable of serving up to 10,000 homes in western French Guiana, even when the solar panels are not producing energy, such as at night or in bad weather.

FOLAN’s expertise at the service of renewable energies

For this demanding project in French Guiana, Siemens Energy chose FOLAN cabinets and cable management solutions, renowned for their robustness, ease of installation and reliability in constrained environments. This equipment, specifically configured to meet the needs of the site, enables optimum management of network connections in tropical climatic conditions, where heat and humidity impose high demands.

Contributing to the energy transition

By participating in this project, FOLAN is reaffirming its commitment to sustainable solutions and the energy transition. ‘It is an honour to contribute to such an ambitious and visionary project,’ emphasises Ludovic Robert (Chairman and CEO of FOLAN), ’and to see our products play a key role in the production of clean, renewable energy.’

With this project, FOLAN continues to position itself as a key player in the development of infrastructure for renewable energy worldwide.
