BUILDING THE VERY HIGH SPEED NETWORK IN THE ISÈRE DEPARTMENT

THE PROJECT

In just a few years, the digital coverage of France has become key to enhancing its attractiveness and developing competitiveness for companies. In Isère, the Isère THD Public Initiative Network was created to support the development of very high speed Internet and reduce the digital divide between densely-populated areas and rural areas.

FOLAN’S EXPERTISE

FOLAN was selected by Isère THD for the passive equipment of the department’s entire Very High Speed network. This means that almost 450,000 subscribers will have an optical fiber connection.

FOLAN is already underway equipping the Optical Connection Node in Villefontaine, the first and most important Optical Connection Node out of the 110 technical facilities in the Isère department, which should provide the first optical fiber connections to Villefontaine residents very soon. In all, FOLAN will supply 110 optical distribution frames and 4,000 patch panels to Isère THD.
